Get clarification on the often confusing Fair Labor Standards Act, including the new FairPay Update (effective August of 2004), the first comprehensive overhaul of overtime pay regulations in more than 50 years. Shakespeare Rocks the Schools!
 If you think Shakespeare is old and stuffy, think again! Richmond Shakespeare, Central Virginia's foremost Shakespeare provider, introduces your budding performer to the greatest English-speaking writer and instills in them a sense of the drama and play within his wonderful works. Experience the fun of Richmond Shakespeare's afterschool program--increasing focus, self discipline, cooperation, literacy, memorization and lots of fun theater skills--all while rehearsing for a 20 minute Shakespeare play that is part narration, part Shakespeare's original language. It's all play to the student--but inside the fun, some serious skills are being developed, as well as the groundwork for studying the plays later in the school career. Participants in this workshop can take part in a drawning for half-price kets to Richmond Shakespeare's first production of the indoor season, Hamlet (G3+). (Chesapeake)

Are you often called upon to review and interpret Court Orders? Examine the most common forms of Custody Orders and their impact upon the educational setting. Review the basic tenants of "Shared Custody", "Joint Custody" and "Temporary Custody Orders" and other typical custodial arrangements. Look at Protection from Abuse Orders, Restraining Orders and Foster Parent Placement Documents. You will be asked to apply the basic tenants of custody to various situations within your programs including, releasing a child to a person claiming to be a parent and parent’s who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at pick-up.
